Netherlands defeated Oman by 74 runs in the Super Six stage of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers on Monday in Harare.
The Dutch scored 362-7 in 48 overs while batting first but the target for Oman was reduced to 321 in 44 overs due to rain.
Ayaan Khan of Oman scored a ton but that wasn't enough as his team couldn't keep up with their chase and only managed to score 246-6 in 44 overs.
Netherland’s Vikramjit Singh was declared the Player of the Game for scoring 110 off 109 with 11 boundaries. Another Dutch player, Wesley Baressi came close to completing his ton but was removed by Oman’s Bilal Khan with just three runs away from his century.
Since Sri Lanka have already qualified for the Cricket World Cup in India and West Indies — who will not feature in a World Cup for the first time in history — and Oman were knocked out of the race already, the race for the qualification is now between Zimbabwe, Scotland and Netherlands.
